Practice

“Unexpected truths appear when ideas are put into practice.”

Practice is where experiential learning reigns. Each format offers advantages: individual sessions allow for a focus on a particular theme, workshops and retreats offer individual work within a group context, the laboratory ends up being a kind of training experience.

Individual Sessions

An hour and a half session with Sven Doehner, to experience a voice alchemy that seeks to undo knots and open spaces for new experiences to take shape and form. To make an appointment, send a few lines about you interest in working imaginatively with the voice to: sven@sound-imagination.org

Workshops and Retreats

Our workshops are group spaces in which each person is responsible for his or her own experience and experiential learning.

Our retreats allow us to leave our habitual worlds for two or more days, in order to participate in a series of experiences that activate processes of deep self-awareness.

Laboratory

Our Voice lab is an experimental space. Principles and protocols of a “Voice Alchemy” open an experiential learning space that is both fun and profoundly moving.

Training

It is possible to train to include the voice in psychotherapeutic work.

Sven Doehner

Sven Doehner, PhD, MFA, is a Psychoanalyst from México City, trained in C.G. Jung´s Analytic Psychology, by James Hillman in Archetypal Psychology, in Somatic Movement in the School of BodyMindMovement, and in Vocal Practices by diverse teachers around the world. He has guided workshops and training programs related to personal and transpersonal self-knowing since 1981, in Mexico, Europe, Australia and North, Central and South America.

His psychotherapeutic work blends a Junguian Archetypal vision and principles with a somatic and sound sensitivity – along with a fine sense of native hearing and spiritual practices – to work with others to relate to the images in their life, and dreams, in ways that restore equilibrium in their lives. Working with Sven involves opening spaces that constructively affect the somatic, emotional, mental and spiritual levels of ourselves, restoring movement to their Being.
